The permanent exhibition of Muséum des Volcans offers to the discovery fun and interactive of operation of the earth and on phenomenon indivisible of the history of Cantal : THE  VOLCANISM

Active at a time when man had not yet appeared in Auvergne, this giant among the european volcanoes shaped the landscape « cantaliens », supplied the man in building matérials typical and determined the sucession of fauna and flora remarkable.

The collections of museum (rocks, minerals, naturalized animals, etc.) beared of this wealth geological, fauna and floristic and invite the visitors in fascinating scientific exploration of the region.

Throughout of the year the Muséum des Volcans offers you of many activities related to the nature and to the environment :

In summer, from Monday to Saturday to 10am to 18h30pm and the sunday to 14pm to 18h30pm
